HTC Steel Building Systems is hiring certified welders for our on-site weld-up crews. You’ll be building structural frames from the ground up on commercial and industrial jobs across Central Texas — most within two hours of Waco, with occasional travel work that carries per diem.

We’re veteran-owned, and we run our jobs the way the name says: built right, on time. That means crews who show up, look after their gear, and take the inspection seriously.

What you’ll be doing

• Flux-core and stick welding on structural steel — columns, beams, purlins, bracing
• Fit-up and tacking from shop drawings and erection plans
• Working off scissor lifts, boom lifts and leading edge at height
• Daily rigging and crane signalling alongside the erection crew
• Keeping the work area safe and tidy, and your welds ready for inspection

What we’re looking for

• AWS D1.1 certification, or the ability to pass a 3G/4G plate test on arrival
• 2+ years of structural welding; PEMB or weld-up experience preferred
• Comfortable working at height, and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to the yard or jobsite
• OSHA 10 or 30 a plus — we’ll put you through it if you don’t have it

What we offer

• $26 – $34 per hour depending on certification and experience
• Overtime at time and a half, paid weekly
• Per diem and lodging on travel jobs
• Health insurance and paid holidays after 90 days
• Tool allowance, and we supply all PPE
